Activating Tomorrow's Innovative Solutions

We believe every girl and young woman adds incredible value.

OVERCOMING BARRIERS

LEARNING LOSS

➙  It is estimated between 2017-2020 students in Puerto Rico lost about 159 school days.
➙ Up to 25,000 students had little to no access to education during the pandemic.

EQUITY & INCLUSION

➙ Widespread lack of Wi-Fi infrastructure and access to electronic devices have widened.
➙ WhatsApp was how teachers and students communicated during early days of pandemic - lack of access and reliable digital platform.

SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING

➙ Youth in Puerto Rico experienced significant exposure to disasters and reported trauma-related symptoms - girls higher percentage.
➙ To start recovering from these disasters the focus is on relationships between educators and families.

INCLUDING THE WHOLE INDIVIDUAL

At dev46, we believe in the importance of personal development. That’s why we’ve made it a core program for our students. They learn about self-growth and self-worth, how to understand their own learning styles and accept and work with them, and how to become strong leaders who can command two languages. Plus, they learn how to create and lead their own companies to great success. This is the kind of education that is being applied globally today, and our commitment to providing a passion-based learning experience.

Why is Personal Development Important Today?

PBL for Transferable Skills

With nearly 50% of jobs changing or disappearing within 4-years. The challenges our girls face today are unlike anything that has been seen before. And we know employers seek well-balanced individuals with transferable skills. Through passion-based learning we develop a love of learning encouraging curiosity.

Nicole Assisi, CEO and Co-Founder, Thrive Public Schools

Meditation and Mindfulness

There are many benefits to kids who practice mindfulness and meditation. From increased focus, self-control, coping strategies, emotional regulation, to better relationships. Our local health and wellness community offers Yoga and Meditation classes that give each student two hours of instruction per week.

English Immersion

In the 21st Century knowing a second language is not only beneficial, but necessary for success in life. The continual globalization of the world’s economy is bringing diverse cultures into the workforce. With 60% of our students English proficient we're meeting up with the demand for empathetic IT leaders.

INCLUSION IS INNOVATION READY TO BURST

During the 2020 to 2022 school years we were thrusted into a new way of teaching, learning, engaging. Millions of students were able to immediately switch on globally, millions more we learned did not have access to computers or the Internet. Puerto Rico suffered another disaster - another year of learning loss. Today, we have the opportunity to mentor, volunteer, coach and lead because technology is the foundation. We're accelerating learning, closing the digital divide and doing something extra, requesting your hands on deck to help us help them self-sustain. Want to lead a program? Whether business finance, emerging markets, presentation skills, digital marketing know your time is received with gratitude.

COUNT ME IN, LET'S DO THIS!
