Agnes Figueroa Martínez, Co-Founder, CIO, President

Agnes brings technology expertise, nonprofit experience, and commitment to equity and social change. She brings over 23 years of experience leading Information Technology (IT) operations in Higher Education institutions for the Washington State Board of Community and Technical Colleges. She has also taught IT courses at Bellevue College in Washington, provides Library and IT support at Goddard College in Vermont, and currently holds the CIO position at Bates Technical College in Tacoma, Washington.

Her passion for both technology and education as well as her experience having to leave the island to improve her opportunities made her a perfect match for dev46 and a role model for our participants. More importantly her public service life experiences made Adelaide and her decision to start this organization simple and humbling.

Judith Vega, Secretary

Judith has dedicated most of her professional work life to the nurturance and care of cross and multicultural communities through “community-based social change organizations” and private consulting.

She brings over 40 years of experience in Early Childhood Development, Community Education (including health), and Organizational and Program Development. Judith is best known for incorporating community involvement and leadership development into each venture while creating and applying culturally and language responsive experiences and solutions. Some of her most exciting work has been in Youth and Adult Peer Education. Her work expands across local, national, and international communities.

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in the USA. Judith recently moved back to Puerto Rico and upskilling herself as a Life & Organizational Coach.

Frances González, Treasurer

Frances is the Founder and President of Vegan Wines, a completely vegan-friendly wine club, and Despacito Distributors, a plant-based wine distribution company.

Frances has acquired nuanced expertise and made many connections in the wine industry through her work building these two companies. Her background, however, delves deeper than entrepreneurship. She is also an active member of Women of the Vine & Spirits, an organization that fosters a supportive environment for females in the alcoholic beverage industry. Frances also has extensive experience in the vegan and plant-based market. She has sponsored conferences like the Plant-Based World Expo and founded VegFest Puerto Rico, a nonprofit established in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.
